Description

Cool off this summer with our delightful Watermelon Sweet Tea, a refreshing drink that brings together the sweet flavors of juicy watermelon and classic sweet tea. Perfect for barbecues, picnics, or simply relaxing on a hot day, this easy-to-make beverage will impress your guests and quench your thirst.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 quarts filtered water
  • 6 tea bags (preferably Luzianne)
  • 12 cups seeded watermelon chunks
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove from heat, add tea bags, cover, and steep for 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, blend watermelon chunks and lime juice until smooth.
  4. Strain the watermelon puree into a pitcher; discard pulp.
  5. Remove tea bags from the saucepan and add brewed tea to the pitcher. Stir well.
  6. Serve over ice-filled glasses and garnish with mint leaves if desired.
