For the Funfetti Cookie Dough:
- 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour (213g)
- 1 cup granulated sugar (200g)
- 1/4 tsp baking soda (2g)
- 1 tsp baking powder (4g)
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter (176g), room temperature
- 3 egg whites
- 3 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sour cream (120ml)
- 1/2 cup milk (120ml)
- 1/3–1/2 cup sprinkles (55g)
- 1 pinch kosher salt
Optional Decorations:
- Buttercream frosting or ganache
- Extra sprinkles for topping
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough:
- Preheat your oven to 340°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into a bowl. Whisk to combine.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg whites, vanilla extract, sour cream, and milk.
- Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Gradually add the dry and wet ingredients alternately.
- Fold in the sprinkles gently.
- Shape and Bake:
- Scoop the dough into evenly sized balls and place them on the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Cool on a wire rack.
- Optional Decoration:
- Add frosting or ganache and sprinkle additional sprinkles on top for a festive finish.
Notes
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking to prevent excessive spreading.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
