  • 2 celery stalks (diced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion, carrots, and celery; cook until softened (8-10 minutes).
  2. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Add ground beef, breaking it apart; cook until browned (8-10 minutes). Drain excess fat.
  4. Mix in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, red wine, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring sauce to a simmer; reduce heat to low and cover. Let it simmer for at least 30 minutes for richer flavors.
  6. Cook spaghetti according to package directions in salted boiling water until al dente; drain well.
  7. Serve hot spaghetti topped with Bolognese sauce and freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
