Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a small bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the streusel topping. Stir in melted butter until crumbly; set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, baking powder, spices, and salt.
  4. In a large bowl, blend sugars, oil, and eggs until smooth. Mix in pumpkin puree and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients using a spatula until just mixed. Fold in chocolate chips gently.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and top with the streusel mixture.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean; tent with foil if browning too quickly.
  8. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
