This one-pan dish combines tender chicken, buttery garlic noodles, and parmesan for a rich and satisfying comfort meal that’s perfect for any night of the week.

Chicken:
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cubed)
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Pasta:
- 8 ounces small pasta shells
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon powder
Garlic Butter Sauce:
- ½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) salted butter
- 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon powder
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese (plus more for garnish, optional)
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Chicken:
- Mix onion powder, kosher salt, black pepper, and paprika in a medium bowl. Toss chicken cubes in the seasoning mix until evenly coated.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
- Cook chicken for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature 165°F). Remove and tent with foil to keep warm.
Pasta:
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add bouillon powder and pasta shells. Cook until al dente (as per package instructions).
- Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
Garlic Butter Sauce:
- Melt butter in the same pot over medium heat. Stir in chicken bouillon powder.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Stir in ½ cup reserved pasta water to create a smooth sauce.
Combine and Serve:
- Toss pasta in the garlic butter sauce and stir in parmesan cheese. Add more pasta water as needed to achieve desired consistency.
- Plate the noodles, top with cooked chicken, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
Notes
- Substitute parmesan with asiago or pecorino romano for a different cheese flavor.
- To make gluten-free, use gluten-free pasta and ensure bouillon is gluten-free.
