Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh strawberries, washed and dried with green tops intact
- 10 ounces white melting wafers or white chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips or dark melting wafers
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white melting wafers according to package directions, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
- Hold each strawberry by its green top and dip it into the melted white chocolate, coating about three-quarters of the berry. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.
- Place the dipped strawberries onto the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with remaining strawberries.
- Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes, or until the white chocolate is set.
- In a separate small microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips according to package directions, stirring every 15 seconds until smooth.
- Transfer the melted dark chocolate to a small piping bag or a zip-top bag with the corner snipped off. Alternatively, use a toothpick or small spoon.
- Pipe or dab two small dots for eyes and an elongated oval for a mouth on the white chocolate portion of each strawberry to create ghost faces.
- Return the decorated strawberries to the refrigerator for another 5-10 minutes, or until the dark chocolate is set.
