Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 lean)
  • 12 Hawaiian sweet slider rolls
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 1 ½ cups shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. To prepare the special sauce, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, sugar, onion powder, and paprika in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned (7-8 minutes). Drain excess grease and stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper for 1 minute.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally and place the bottom half in a baking dish.
  4. Spread half the special sauce on the bottom half of the rolls. Layer with cooked beef, cheese slices, and lettuce. Spread remaining sauce on top half of rolls before placing it over the lettuce.
  5. Brush melted butter on slider tops and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes; uncover and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
