Ingredients

  • 350g strong white flour
  • 240ml plant-based milk (almond or soy)
  • 7g dried yeast
  • 2 tbsp soft brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp soft brown sugar (filling)
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 400g tin of apple fruit filling
  • 1 tbsp vegan butter (topping)

Instructions

  1. Warm the plant-based milk until it's slightly warm.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, dried yeast, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the warmed milk and olive oil; mix until it forms a dough.
  4. Knead on a floured surface for about 3-5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let the dough prove in an oiled bowl for 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread apple filling mixed with sugar and cinnamon over it.
  7. Roll it up tightly, slice into pieces, and place in a baking tin.
  8. Allow to prove again for 45 minutes before brushing with melted vegan butter.
  9. Bake at 180 degrees C for 25-30 minutes until golden.
