  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 package (1 pound) thawed puff pastry sheets
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Dried oregano
  • Dried basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, egg, and breadcrumbs. Form into 1-inch meatballs.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides (5-7 minutes). Transfer to a baking dish.
  4. Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
  5. Roll out puff pastry and cut into a circle to cover the meatballs completely. Tuck edges down into the dish.
