- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ cup tamarind paste
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
Instructions
- Season the chicken pieces with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add seasoned chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add tamarind paste, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and ginger. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Return chicken to the skillet; toss to coat evenly with the sauce and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve warm on a platter garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
