  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ cup tamarind paste
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken pieces with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add seasoned chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add tamarind paste, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and ginger. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Return chicken to the skillet; toss to coat evenly with the sauce and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve warm on a platter garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
