Description
These Sugar Cookie Truffles are a quick and easy no-bake dessert made with crumbled sugar cookies, cream cheese, and vanilla, then coated in chocolate. Perfect for holidays, parties, or anytime you want a sweet and creamy treat.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Truffles:
- 12–15 sugar cookies (5 oz, like Pepperidge Farm)
- 2–3 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
For the Chocolate Coating:
- 1 ½ cups chocolate melting wafers (white, milk, or dark)
Optional Decorations:
- Sprinkles, crushed candy canes, or edible glitter
Instructions
- Prepare the Cookie Base:
- Blend sugar cookies in a food processor until they turn into fine crumbs. Add cream cheese and vanilla, then pulse until combined into a dough-like consistency.
- Shape the Truffles:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop out 1 tablespoon portions of the mixture and roll into balls. Freeze for 20 minutes.
- Melt the Chocolate:
- Melt chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl in 15–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Coat the Truffles:
- Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate using a fork. Tap off the excess chocolate and place on the lined baking sheet.
- Decorate:
- Add sprinkles or other decorations immediately after dipping each truffle.
- Chill:
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes, or until the chocolate coating is firm. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- If using homemade cookies, make sure they are firm and dry, not soft.
- Adjust cream cheese amount based on consistency—add more if the dough is too crumbly.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
