- 8 large Napa cabbage leaves
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 egg, beaten
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Oregano
- Smoked paprika
Instructions
- Blanch the cabbage leaves in boiling water for 2–3 minutes until softened; drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, cooked rice, onion, garlic, seasonings, and beaten egg; mix well.
- Spoon filling onto each cabbage leaf and roll tightly from the base up.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread marinara sauce in a baking dish and place rolls seam-side down; cover with remaining sauce and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until meat is cooked through and cabbage is tender.
- Let cool slightly before serving; garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
