- 3 whole cloves
- 3 green cardamom pods
- 1 cinnamon stick

- 1–2 tablespoons brown sugar
Instructions
- Boil water in a small pot. Add spices: black peppercorns, cloves, cardamom, and cinnamon stick. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add smoky black tea and steep for 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in milk and brown sugar; simmer on low heat for another 3-4 minutes.
- Strain the chai into mugs, discarding spices and tea leaves. Serve warm.
