- 1 cup water
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 (1-oz) envelope onion soup mix
- 1 (0.7-oz) envelope Italian dressing mix
- 1 (1-oz) envelope au jus mix
Instructions
- Whisk together water, salsa, and the seasoning packets.
- Place the roast in the slow cooker and pour the mixture over it.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 8–10 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours.
- Serve with creamy chipotle sauce, mashed potatoes, or your favorite side dish.
Notes
- Substitute brown gravy mix if au jus mix is unavailable.
- Add vegetables like carrots and potatoes for a complete meal.
- For a thicker sauce, use a cornstarch slurry in the last 30 minutes of cooking.
