Ingredients

  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 (1-oz) envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 (0.7-oz) envelope Italian dressing mix
  • 1 (1-oz) envelope au jus mix

Instructions

  • Whisk together water, salsa, and the seasoning packets.
  • Place the roast in the slow cooker and pour the mixture over it.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 8–10 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours.
  • Serve with creamy chipotle sauce, mashed potatoes, or your favorite side dish.

  • Substitute brown gravy mix if au jus mix is unavailable.
