Main Ingredients:
- 1 (3–4 pounds) chuck roast
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 1/4 cup butter
- 4–5 pepperoncini peppers
Optional Additions:
- Quartered russet potatoes
- Baby carrots
Instructions
- Place the chuck roast in the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the top of the roast.
- Add the butter on top of the roast and arrange the pepperoncini peppers around it.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the roast is fork-tender.
- Optional: Add quartered potatoes and baby carrots during the last 1–2 hours of cooking.
- Shred or slice the roast and serve with the sauce over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
Notes
- Do not add water or broth; the roast creates its own juices.
- For a thicker sauce, skim off excess fat and whisk in a cornstarch slurry before serving.
