Description

  • 1/4 cup half and half
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 1/2 cups boneless, skinless chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 1/4 cup red onion, diced
  • 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C). Prepare a baking sheet with a silpat liner or grease it lightly and sprinkle with cornmeal.
  2. Make the Roasted Garlic White Sauce:
    • Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
    • Add the roasted garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Whisk in the flour to form a paste and cook for 1 minute.
    • Slowly whisk in the skim milk and half and half, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
    • Season with black pepper and cook for about 3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
    • Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Set aside.
  3. Shape the Dough:
    Roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle on a lightly floured surface. Transfer it to the prepared baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. Assemble the Pizza:
    • Spread the roasted garlic white sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
    • Top with shredded chicken, diced red onion, and mozzarella cheese.
  5. Bake the Pizza:
    Place the pizza in the oven and bake for 17 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  6. Add Fresh Herbs and Serve:
    Remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle with fresh thyme, dried oregano, and parsley. Slice and serve immediately.
