Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 oz chopped semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 & 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoons red gel food coloring
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 & 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter and chopped chocolate together in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Stir in the granulated sugar, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Add vanilla extract, white vinegar, and red food coloring; mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, sift together cocoa powder, flour, and salt.
  5. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; avoid overmixing. Optionally fold in white chocolate chips.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  7. Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
