Ingredients
- 1 pound beef steak (sirloin or flank), thinly sliced
- 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 large green bell pepper, diced
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 1 package (17.3 ounces) frozen puff pastry (2 sheets), thawed
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and cook seasoned beef until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté mushrooms, bell pepper, onion, and garlic in the same skillet until softened; add cooked beef back along with Worcestershire and soy sauces.
- Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into rectangles.
- Place filling in the center of each rectangle, top with cheese, fold over, seal edges with a fork.
- Brush tops with beaten egg and bake on parchment-lined baking sheet for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
