  • 1 pound beef steak (sirloin or flank), thinly sliced
  • 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 large green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1 package (17.3 ounces) frozen puff pastry (2 sheets), thawed
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and cook seasoned beef until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté mushrooms, bell pepper, onion, and garlic in the same skillet until softened; add cooked beef back along with Worcestershire and soy sauces.
  4. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into rectangles.
  5. Place filling in the center of each rectangle, top with cheese, fold over, seal edges with a fork.
  6. Brush tops with beaten egg and bake on parchment-lined baking sheet for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
