Description

A refreshing peach sorbet that’s naturally sweet, easy to make, and perfect for summer. With only three ingredients, this simple recipe delivers a smooth, fruity, and delicious frozen treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 800g ripe yellow peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Peaches – Wash, peel, and slice the peaches into eighths. Remove the pits.
  2. Blend the Ingredients – In a food processor or blender, combine the peaches and caster sugar. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Add Lemon Juice – Gradually mix in the lemon juice, tasting as you go to balance sweetness.
  4. Chill the Mixture – Transfer the mixture to a covered bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  5. Freeze the Sorbet
    • With an Ice Cream Maker: Churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (about 20-25 minutes), then freeze for 2-3 hours.
    • Without an Ice Cream Maker: Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze for 1 hour. Stir with a fork to break up ice crystals, repeating every 30 minutes for 4 hours.
  6. Serve & Enjoy – Let the sorbet sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping.

Notes

  • Choose Ripe Peaches – The sweeter the peaches, the less sugar you’ll need.
  • Balance Sweetness & Acidity – Adjust the lemon juice to enhance the natural flavors.
  • Prevent Ice Crystals – Use an airtight container and press plastic wrap onto the sorbet’s surface before freezing.
  • For a Creamier Texture – Add a splash of honey, maple syrup, or a small amount of alcohol (like vodka or Prosecco) to reduce iciness.
