  • 8 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • ½ cup ricotta cheese, room temperature
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp orange zest (from approximately 4 oranges)
  • ⅛ tsp kosher salt
  • 1 cup dried cranberries

For the Glaze:

  • 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 tbsp fresh orange juice (or more if needed)
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 2 tsp heavy cream

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add ricotta, cream cheese, vanilla, and orange zest. Mix until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  6. Fold in dried cranberries.

Step 2: Bake the Cookies

  1. Use a tablespoon scoop to drop dough onto the baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 15-17 minutes, until lightly golden on the bottom.
  3. Cool completely on a wire rack.

Step 3: Prepare the Glaze

  1. Whisk together confectioners’ sugar, orange juice, zest, and heavy cream.
  2. Drizzle over cooled cookies and allow to set before serving.
