For the Cookie Dough:
- 8 tbsp butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- ½ cup ricotta cheese, room temperature
- ½ cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp orange zest (from approximately 4 oranges)
- ⅛ tsp kosher salt
- 1 cup dried cranberries
For the Glaze:
- 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 2 tbsp fresh orange juice (or more if needed)
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 2 tsp heavy cream
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add ricotta, cream cheese, vanilla, and orange zest. Mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
- Fold in dried cranberries.
Step 2: Bake the Cookies
- Use a tablespoon scoop to drop dough onto the baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-17 minutes, until lightly golden on the bottom.
- Cool completely on a wire rack.
Step 3: Prepare the Glaze
- Whisk together confectioners’ sugar, orange juice, zest, and heavy cream.
- Drizzle over cooled cookies and allow to set before serving.

- Storage: Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or 7 days in the fridge.
- Freezing: Freeze for up to 4 months in an airtight container. Thaw before serving.
