Loaded hashbrown patties are a delectable twist on the traditional breakfast favorite, combining crispy golden potatoes with melted cheddar cheese, savory bacon, and fresh green onions. These irresistible patties are perfect for any occasion—whether served as an appetizer at parties, a hearty side for breakfast, or a delicious snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds frozen shredded hashbrowns, thawed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine thawed hashbrowns, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, green onions, beaten egg, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into patties about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the patties in batches for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Drain excess oil on paper towels before serving warm with dipping sauce.
