- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 handful fresh basil, chopped

For the Rolls:
- 4 sandwich rolls (brioche, ciabatta, or hoagie)

Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Salmon
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place salmon fillets on the baking sheet, skin-side down.
- Drizzle olive oil over the salmon, then season with salt and black pepper.
Step 2: Bake the Salmon
- Bake the salmon for 10 minutes, allowing it to partially cook while staying moist.
Step 3: Make the Lemon Basil Butter
- In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, lemon juice, chopped basil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
Step 4: Add the Butter Mixture & Broil
- Remove the salmon from the oven and spoon the lemon basil butter mixture over the top.
- Top with thin lemon slices (optional) for extra citrus aroma.
- Set oven to broil on high and return salmon to oven for 5-6 minutes until golden.
Step 5: Assemble the Rolls
- Let the salmon cool slightly, then flake it into large chunks.
- Lightly toast sandwich rolls to prevent sogginess.
- Layer the flaked salmon onto the toasted buns, adding any extra toppings like arugula, avocado, or aioli.
