  • 2 racks pork spareribs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp paprika
  • 1 Tbsp seasoned salt
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard powder
  • 1 bottle Kansas City-style barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and coat a grill pan or baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl, mix all dry rub ingredients. Pat ribs dry and trim excess fat.
  3. Generously season both sides of the ribs with the rub; refrigerate for up to 24 hours for enhanced flavor if desired.
  4. Place ribs on the prepared pan and bake for about 2½ hours, rotating halfway through.
  5. Brush with barbecue sauce during the last 20 minutes of baking, then slice and serve.
