- 3 ripe avocados
- ¼ cup diced red onion
- ¼ cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
- Zest and juice of 2 limes
- 1 small jalapeño pepper, diced
- ½ teaspoon sea salt, plus more to taste
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin (optional)
- Optional: 1-2 Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
Instructions
- Slice the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
- Mash with a fork until smooth or slightly chunky.
- Stir in diced red onion, chopped cilantro, lime zest, lime juice, and jalapeño.
- Add salt and cumin (if using) and mix well.
- Fold in tomatoes if desired.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Serve immediately with chips, tacos, or as a spread.
Notes
- For spicier guacamole, add extra diced jalapeño.
- Store leftovers with plastic wrap pressed against the surface to prevent browning.
