- 3 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Make the Dough:
- In a large bowl, mix the white cake mix, softened butter, and eggs using a hand or stand mixer until well combined.
- Add the peppermint and vanilla extracts and green gel food coloring. Mix until the color is even and vibrant.
- Prepare the Coating:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and cornstarch.
- Form the Cookies:
- Scoop 1½ tablespoons of dough per cookie, roll into balls, and coat generously in the powdered sugar mixture. Place on the baking sheet, spacing 1 inch apart.
- Bake:
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops appear dry.
- Decorate:
- Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately press a red heart-shaped sprinkle into the center of each cookie while they’re still warm.
- Cool:
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
