  • 3 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Make the Dough:
    • In a large bowl, mix the white cake mix, softened butter, and eggs using a hand or stand mixer until well combined.
    • Add the peppermint and vanilla extracts and green gel food coloring. Mix until the color is even and vibrant.
  • Prepare the Coating:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and cornstarch.
  • Form the Cookies:
    • Scoop 1½ tablespoons of dough per cookie, roll into balls, and coat generously in the powdered sugar mixture. Place on the baking sheet, spacing 1 inch apart.
  • Bake:
    • Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops appear dry.
  • Decorate:
    • Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately press a red heart-shaped sprinkle into the center of each cookie while they’re still warm.
  • Cool:
