  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 small cucumber, grated and excess moisture squeezed out
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, pepper, and parsley until just mixed.
  3. Roll the mixture into balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. For the tzatziki sauce, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber (excess moisture squeezed out), minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper in another bowl. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve warm meatballs alongside tzatziki.
