For the Cupcakes:

- 1 cup Grape Crush soda
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil

Instructions
For the Cupcakes:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Mix the batter. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, Grape Crush soda, vegetable oil, and eggs. If using, add grape extract and food coloring.
- Beat the mixture on medium speed for 2 minutes until smooth. Avoid overmixing.
- Fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full to allow room for rising.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool completely on a wire rack before frosting.
For the Frosting (Optional):
- Reduce the soda. In a small saucepan, heat ½ cup Grape Crush soda over medium heat until it reduces to ¼ cup. Let cool.
- Cream the butter. In a bowl, beat the softened butter until light and fluffy.
- Add powdered sugar gradually, beating after each addition.
- Pour in the reduced soda and mix until smooth. Add grape extract and food coloring if using.
- Pipe or spread onto cooled cupcakes.
Notes
- Want more grape flavor? Use grape extract to enhance the taste.
- No Grape Crush soda? Substitute with another fruit soda like orange or strawberry.
- For extra moisture, replace half the oil with Greek yogurt.
- Make mini cupcakes by baking for 10-12 minutes instead.
