Scale
Crust Layer:
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted
- 1 egg
Cream Cheese Layer:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened

- 4 cups (1 lb) powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine yellow cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg. Mix until a soft dough forms. Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- In a separate bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 2 eggs. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 40–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are set (the center may still jiggle slightly).
- Let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a cleaner cut, chill the bars in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
- Experiment with different cake mix flavors for unique variations.
