  • 8 sheets of phyllo dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup semolina flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup honey, warmed
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Layer four sheets of phyllo in the dish, brushing each with melted butter.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine semolina flour, eggs, sugar, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Pour the filling over the phyllo layers.
  5. Top with four more layers of phyllo, brushing each with butter and scoring lightly.
  6. Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown and set. Cool slightly before drizzling with honey and sprinkling sesame seeds.
