Ingredients
- 8 sheets of phyllo dough
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup semolina flour
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup honey, warmed
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer four sheets of phyllo in the dish, brushing each with melted butter.
- In a mixing bowl, combine semolina flour, eggs, sugar, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
- Pour the filling over the phyllo layers.
- Top with four more layers of phyllo, brushing each with butter and scoring lightly.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown and set. Cool slightly before drizzling with honey and sprinkling sesame seeds.
