Ingredients

  • 1x 14oz Mozzarella block
  • 1x 6.4oz Chilli Heatwave Doritos
  • 4 cups Vegetable Oil
  • 1/3 cup Flour
  • 2 Eggs (beaten)
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt & Black Pepper
  • Flaky sea salt for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Cut cheese into triangles.
  • Crush Doritos into fine crumbs.
  • Set up three bowls: one for seasoned flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for crushed Doritos.
  • Coat cheese in flour, egg, and Doritos crumbs, pressing firmly.
  • Let coated cheese rest for 10-15 minutes.
  • Heat oil to 350°F (180°C) and fry for 1-2 minutes until golden.
  • Drain on a wire rack, sprinkle with salt, and serve hot!

Notes

  • Double-coating: For extra crunch, repeat egg wash and Doritos coating.
  • Air-frying or baking: Freeze first, then cook at 400°F (200°C) (air fry for 3-4 minutes, bake for 5-6 minutes).
