  • 1 teaspoon instant espresso powder
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • For Kahlua Buttercream: 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 4 tablespoons Kahlua
  • 3 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter and chocolate together until smooth. Allow it to cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk sugar and eggs until fluffy. Gradually add the chocolate mixture while whisking continuously.
  4. Mix in espresso powder and salt, then sift in flour until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared tray and bake for about 20 minutes or until set but fudgy.
  6. For the Kahlua buttercream, beat softened butter until creamy, then add powdered sugar gradually along with Kahlua and espresso powder until smooth.
