For the Danish:
- 2 cans (228g each) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (200g) sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 egg white
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup (130g) powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Prepare the cream cheese filling by beating cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and one egg until smooth.
- Unroll one can of crescent rolls and press it into the bottom of the baking dish, sealing the seams.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.
- Unroll the second can of crescent rolls and place it on top, sealing the seams.
- Brush with egg white for a golden finish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool for at least 20 minutes before adding the glaze.
- Make the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled danish.
