Instructions

  2. In a bowl, cream together softened butter and sugars until fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet mixture; add red food coloring and vinegar until well combined. Fold in white chocolate chips if using.
  6. Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for about 10-12 minutes until edges are set; allow to cool on the sheet for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  8. For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth; gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla until fluffy.
