- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for heat preference)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup hot honey (store-bought or homemade)
- 4 burger buns
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- Sliced pickles (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Mix until well combined. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
- Prepare a breading station by placing the flour in one shallow dish, beaten eggs in another shallow dish, and breadcrumbs in a third dish.
- Dredge each chicken patty in flour, shaking off any excess. Next, dip into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat with breadcrumbs. Place the breaded patties on a plate.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a couple of tablespoons of oil. Once hot, add the chicken patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
