For the Salmon:

  • 1 ½ pounds salmon (about 4 filets), skins removed, cut into 1-inch bites
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • 1 cup (232 g) mayonnaise
  • ½ cup (132 g) Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons honey

For Garnish:

  • Fresh chives, finely chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the Air Fryer or Oven
    • For air fryer: Preheat to 390°F.
    • For oven: Preheat to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the Seasoning
    • In a large bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Season the Salmon
    • Add salmon bites to the bowl and toss gently to coat evenly.
  • Make the Bang Bang Sauce
    • In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and honey. Reserve half for serving.
  • Coat the Salmon in Sauce
    • Toss seasoned salmon bites in the remaining Bang Bang sauce until evenly coated.
  • Air Fry or Bake
    • Air Fryer: Place salmon bites in a single layer and cook at 390°F for 4-5 minutes. Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes until crispy and cooked through (internal temperature 140-145°F).
    • Oven: Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet at 400°F for 16 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Serve and Garnish
    • Drizzle the cooked salmon bites with reserved Bang Bang sauce. Garnish with chopped chives and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, lightly spray the salmon bites with cooking spray before cooking.
  • If using the oven, wait to add the sauce until after the salmon is cooked to avoid burning.
  • Adjust the spice level of the sauce by adding more or less Sriracha to taste.
