  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Green onions, sliced, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper; coat with flour and cornstarch mixture.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; fry chicken until golden brown (5-7 minutes). Drain on paper towels.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté bell peppers, onion, and garlic until tender (3-4 minutes).
  4. Whisk together sugar, vinegar, ketchup; pour into skillet and simmer.
  5. Add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken sauce (1-2 minutes).
  6. Combine fried chicken and pineapple in the skillet; toss to coat and heat through (2 minutes).
