  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A classic Chicken Marsala with Mushrooms recipe that features tender chicken, earthy mushrooms, and a creamy Marsala wine sauce. Perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large chicken breasts (cut into 4 cutlets)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Flour for dredging
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms (thinly sliced)
  • 1 large clove garlic (minced)
  • 3/4 cup Marsala wine
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken breasts into thinner cutlets and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Lightly dredge in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden. Set aside.
  3. Add the remaining butter to the skillet and sauté mushrooms for 3-5 minutes until browned.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Pour in Marsala wine and deglaze the pan. Let it reduce for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add heavy cream, mix, and return the chicken to the skillet. Simmer for 4-5 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve warm with your choice of side dishes.

Notes

  • Use dry or semi-sweet Marsala wine for the best results.
  • Chicken is fully cooked when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • For gluten-free, use almond or gluten-free all-purpose flour.
