A classic Chicken Marsala with Mushrooms recipe that features tender chicken, earthy mushrooms, and a creamy Marsala wine sauce. Perfect for any occasion!

- 2 large chicken breasts (cut into 4 cutlets)
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- Flour for dredging
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter (divided)
- 8 oz cremini mushrooms (thinly sliced)
- 1 large clove garlic (minced)
- 3/4 cup Marsala wine
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Slice chicken breasts into thinner cutlets and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Lightly dredge in flour.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden. Set aside.
- Add the remaining butter to the skillet and sauté mushrooms for 3-5 minutes until browned.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Pour in Marsala wine and deglaze the pan. Let it reduce for 2-3 minutes.
- Add heavy cream, mix, and return the chicken to the skillet. Simmer for 4-5 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens.
- Serve warm with your choice of side dishes.
Notes
- Use dry or semi-sweet Marsala wine for the best results.
- Chicken is fully cooked when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- For gluten-free, use almond or gluten-free all-purpose flour.
