Ingredients
Scale
For the Fudge:
- 3 cups candy corn
- 1 cup (268g) peanut butter
- 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups (340g) white chocolate chips
Optional for Coating:
- 1 cup (170g) milk chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil (optional, for thinning the chocolate)
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan:
- Line an 8×8 or 9×9-inch pan with aluminum foil, ensuring it covers the sides. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Melt Candy Corn and Peanut Butter:
- In a medium saucepan, combine candy corn and peanut butter. Heat over low, stirring every 30 seconds, until the candy corn softens and begins to melt (about 3 minutes).
- Add Sweetened Condensed Milk:
- Pour in the sweetened condensed milk and stir continuously. Cook for another 3 minutes over low heat, ensuring the mixture doesn’t boil.
- Melt the White Chocolate Chips:
- Add the white chocolate chips to the saucepan. Stir until fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Set the Fudge:
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the surface with a spatula. Let cool on the counter for 15 minutes, then transfer to the refrigerator to chill for at least 2 hours.
- Optional Chocolate Coating:
- Melt the milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 15-second intervals, stirring between each. Add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil to thin, if necessary.
- Dip the bottoms of the fudge squares into the chocolate and place them on a wax paper-lined tray. Let the chocolate harden before serving.
- Cut and Serve:
- Use the foil to lift the fudge from the pan. Cut into squares and serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
- To make melting easier, chop the candy corn into smaller pieces before heating.
- For a festive look, drizzle melted chocolate over the top of the fudge and add sprinkles or crushed candy.
