  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into wet mixture until fully blended.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Press half of the dough into the bottom of the prepared dish and drizzle with caramel sauce. Top with spoonfuls of remaining dough.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  9. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
