Description

This berry smoothie with oatmeal is a creamy, fiber-rich, and nutrient-packed drink perfect for breakfast, a post-workout snack, or a healthy treat. Made with rolled oats, berries, Greek yogurt, and honey, it’s a delicious way to start your day with sustained energy and essential nutrients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • ½ cup frozen berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries)
  • 3 tablespoons honey (or to taste)
  • ⅓ cup vanilla yogurt (or Greek yogurt for extra protein)
  • ¼ cup ice

Instructions

  • Soak the Oats – Let the rolled oats sit in milk for 5 minutes for a smoother texture.
  • Blend the Base – In a high-speed blender, combine soaked oats and milk. Blend for 10-15 seconds.
  • Add Berries, Yogurt & Honey – Toss in the frozen berries, honey, and yogurt, then blend for 20-30 seconds.
  • Add Ice & Final Blend – Add ¼ cup ice and blend until you reach a smooth consistency.
  • Taste & Adjust – Add more honey for sweetness or milk for a thinner texture.
  • Serve & Enjoy – Pour into a glass or jar and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • For a thicker smoothie: Reduce the amount of milk or add extra oats.
  • For a dairy-free version: Use almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk and replace yogurt with plant-based alternatives.
  • For extra protein: Add protein powder or a tablespoon of nut butter.
  • For natural sweetness: Swap honey for maple syrup, agave nectar, or a ripe banana.
