- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
Making the Banana Bread Cake:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Mix dry ingredients. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Prepare wet ingredients. In another bowl, beat melted butter and brown sugar. Add eggs, then mashed bananas, sour cream, and vanilla extract.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Bake. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Making the Cream Cheese Frosting:
- Beat cream cheese and butter. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar. Gradually mix in the sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in vanilla extract. Blend until fully incorporated.
Frosting & Serving:
- Ensure the cake is completely cool.
- Spread frosting evenly over the cake using a spatula.
- Add toppings like chopped nuts, caramel drizzle, or banana slices.
- Chill for 15 minutes before slicing for a cleaner cut.
