  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, brown sugar, vegetable oil, and milk until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Pipe the batter into each cavity of the donut pan evenly.
  5. Bake for 15-16 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a rack.
  6. Prepare the cinnamon sugar coating by mixing granulated sugar with cinnamon in a bowl.
  7. Brush cooled donuts with melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar until fully coated.
