  • 8 cups peeled and diced Granny Smith apples
  • 2 cups organic apple juice
  • 1 small lemon (zest and juice)
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp pectin
  • Spices: cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Prepare your apples by washing, peeling, and dicing them.
  2. In a large pot, combine diced apples, apple juice, lemon zest and juice, apple cider vinegar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes until apples are tender.
  4. Stir in spices and sprinkle pectin gradually while stirring well.
  5. Increase heat back to high and bring mixture to a rolling boil before adding sugar all at once. Boil for 1 minute while stirring continuously.
  6. Remove from heat and pour into sterilized jars or follow water bath canning instructions.
