- 1 ½ cups Domino® Golden Sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 ¼ cups milk
- 2 cups unsalted butter (for frosting)
- 8 cups Domino® Powdered Sugar
- 2 tsp almond extract
- 3–5 tbsp heavy cream
- Salt, to taste
- Red and blue gel icing colors
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line cupcake tins with liners.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl; set aside.
- In another bowl, cream together butter, vegetable oil, and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla; mix well.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet mixture while alternating with milk.
- Fill liners two-thirds full with batter; bake for 18-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Prepare frosting by whipping unsalted butter, powdered sugar, almond extract, heavy cream, and salt until smooth.
- Frost half of the cooled cupcakes with white frosting; use red and blue gel icing for decorative stripes.
