- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- ½ small onion, diced
- 8 oz chicken broth
- 8 oz whole milk
- ½ tsp paprika
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese, grated
Instructions
- Rinse rice under cold water to remove excess starch.
- Melt butter in a saucepan and sauté onion until soft.
- Add rice, broth, milk, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
- Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook on low for 18-20 minutes.
- Remove from heat, stir in grated cheddar cheese, and fluff with a fork.
