Ingredients
Scale
- 4 to 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 (0.7-oz) packet Italian Dressing Mix
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with aluminum foil.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar and Italian dressing mix. Stir until well blended.
- Coat both sides of the chicken breasts with the brown sugar mixture, pressing to adhere. Place the chicken in the prepared baking dish, leaving space between each piece. Sprinkle any remaining seasoning mixture over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Turn your broiler on high and broil the chicken for 1–2 minutes, or until the brown sugar caramelizes. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the brown sugar mixture.
- Use chicken thighs or drumsticks as an alternative; adjust cooking times as needed.
- To make this recipe gluten-free, ensure the Italian dressing mix is free from gluten.
